The best abstracts from each area ("Ecology", "Genetics" and "Evolution") will receive an award in the "Undergraduate" and "Graduate" categories. The abstracts will be evaluated by a qualified Scientific Committee composed of experts from each of the three areas mentioned above and from different Institutions of Brazil.

Undergraduate and graduate students wishing to compete for the awards must inform this option at the time of abstract submission and indicate the desired area and category.

The following items will be evaluated:

 

• Quality of the text (grammar, spelling, typing, clarity and objectivity)

• Delimitation and importance of the problem

• Clarity and relevance of the objectives

• Suitability of the methodology

• Clarity of the results presentation

• Relevance of the conclusions

• Coherence among all parts.

 

The winners (one undergrad and one graduate student) in each area (Ecology, Genetics and Evolution) will present a talk (10min + 3min for questions) in English or Portuguese (in the latter case with slides in English), in the morning of November 9, 2017, as scheduled in the X SEGED Scientific Program.
